To get a web site built for you: 

1. Go to www.artassocofhbg.com and print out a membership application, then go to Web For Artists' Request Form page and print out the request form.

2. Mail the application with membership fee of $40/year plus the $300.00 site building fee and the request form,  payable to:

 3. Email 8 things to bryan@artassocofhbg.com,

       www.bryanmolloyart.com, .net, .org, .biz:
 

  • (A) A JPEG image of your signature or a picture that you would like to appear as the main "HOME" link on  each of your pages (this is most often in the upper-left corner of a web page and is a link that takes one back to the home or first page of your web site). Or simply specify that you would like to use your name as your logo. If you have a typeface that you would like your name or other words on your site to appear in also include that (arial, times new roman, verdana, courier new,trebuchet, georgia, etc.).
  • (B) A maximum of 20 JPEG images (like those taken with any digital camera) of your artwork, preferably one "pic" per work unless the work is 3-dimensional. In that case, 2 or 3 angles may be included. Do not worry that the images are perfect, those taken with an inexpensive digital camera are perfectly sufficient as the quality and odd angles will be adjusted, blurring eliminated, color brightened, etc.. However, obviously the higher resolution and better quality of the images, the better the quality can potentially be on the finished site. If you can change your camera settings to 300 dpi or more, this will be ideal. Good lighting also is important. The design of this "ARTWORK" page is a centered-square slide-show of these 20 images. Specify the color you'd like to surround the slide-show (the background color). Include size, medium, title and/or price and any other pertinent information to appear beneath each work.
  • (C) A maximum of 10 web addresses to link to directly from your web site. A link to the Art Association of Harrisburg will automatically be put on this page along with your 10 personal and professional affiliations. A link will also be added to your web address on the Art Association of Harrisburg's official web site. This "LINKS" page design will be in an  outline format.
  • (D) A maximum 1 page (12 point type) artist's resume, bio and statement. This "BIO" page design will be in resume-outline style format.
  • (E) Your choice of "HOME" page design chosen from templates 1-4. Remember to include the colors you would like to use. Custom template designs may be suggested for an additional $60.00 "custom design charge",  and must be of a simple, geometric origin. Special effects such as transparent pillow glass, beveled edges and the like are available, encouraged and are an additional $60.00 "effects charge".
  • (F) Your web address (www.mydomainname.com) if you have one registered.
  • (G) Your server's USERNAME, PASSWORD, IP or WEB ADDRESS and COMPANY that you have to host your page. This is also the password and username you would use to access your email from any computer except probably your home PC. The server's IP address is a series of numbers and periods and is not completely necessary. If you only have your password and username to access and manage your internet and email account online that is sufficient, and be sure to specify what company your service is with (as long as they offer  web hosting). If your internet company does not offer web hosting then sign up for it with a company separately- like GoDaddy.com and include the username and password they give you to access your domain and hosting services along with the address (if a separate one is needed other than your domain name) of the server. (In this case you do not need to also include your email password or username). (The simplest and least expensive way to get a web address is to have your internet service provider host it for you as part of your internet service plan. Both Comcast and Verizon offer free web hosting (space on their servers where your email usually is) if you buy monthly internet service from them. A web address is included with this but it is usually complicated and difficult to remember. You may want to register a name of your choosing with another company such as "www.godaddy.com".   • (H) Your email address to link to from your home page and any other personal contact info you'd like displayed (phone#, address,etc.). 

4. 2 CLICKS 2 PURCHASE is an additional option that allows your work to be purchased directly from your site. This service requires an additional $100.00 to be included in your site building fee as well as a paypal account previously set up in your name. Include your paypal username and password in your email along with a price-list and images for sale. Prints may be listed (sizes need to be included).

 

This is a foundation site that you can build on that is TOTALLY customizable!
